After watching a special on Outsides The Lines on ESPN about the Steve Mcnair murder and how it effected his oldest son Steve Mcnair Jr. It sparked some thoughts about infidelity in life and with public figures and athletes. To be honest asking the question, has cheating on your wife become a disease might sound silly but there are a lot of people who suffer from this acute disorder. Remember Eric Benet he couldn’t be faithful to one of the best looking women in the world Halle Berry, he claimed that he was addicted to sex, I guess that means sex with other women except his ex wife Halle Berry but that was definitely his loss. But we are not pointing fingers as much as just taking a closer look at the evolution of this display of low morals by getting married and lying in front of God in Church then going right outside looking for the next women. The special on ESPN with Steve Mcnair Jr. showed a young man who never really knew his Dad but since Mcnair’s retirement from the NFL he began to spend more time with his son and was getting more familiar. That is a after thought because now his Dad will always be remembered as the NFL player who got shot by his Mistress, and his son has to bear that name and listen to that for the rest of his life. And that is the results of when cheating on your wife goes bad, no one is perfect in this world but the value of a person’s word in front of God means NOTHING. Infidelity has been around for long time but maybe some people might want to consider some alternative lifestyles or different religions if you want multiply wives, or just don’t get married. At the end of the day is the risk worth reward, is a busting a nut worth devastating your family children friend, and your image? In 2009 it seems like it might be!
