 Hedge funds formation were dormant through most of 2008, says Brian Hunter a partner in a Bermuda based law firm ApplebyGlobal who structures and advises Hedge funds accounts . Fifteen percent of funds were down this year in 2008 the industry reported 1.3 trillion in assets under management compared to 2 trillion in 2007.  Investors began spending money in new Hedge funds this year which are different from the traditional ones that proliferated during the boom years.  Many new funds are for distressed investments: debt, and investments taking full advantage of governments Term Asset Backed Securities Loan. Also managers or going back to the fundamentals like traditional long/short equity funds, the new funds are also more flexible about locking up investors money, after the Bernie Madoff scam and a struggling economy their had to be some creative changes in the market to restore investors confidence.  Mr Dontknow suggest they name the new set of regulation for better transparency in the market the Bernie Madoff rules, and I’m sure he is not the only one on Wall Street who used these criminal tactics.  But somebody had to take a fall so Bernie Madoff number came  up but the test of time will be the true measuring stick for how these new Hedge funds perform.  Respectfully Mr Dontknow

 Ryan Sheckler is 20 years old, and is one of the most recognizable faces in the sport of professional skateboarding, he is on pace to surpass the ICON status of the original face of skateboarding Tony Hawk. Ryan has been skating professionally for about 10 years, and along that time he has wowed audiences and dominated tournaments along with accumulating a healthy list of sponsors. Some of his sponsors are Plan B, Red Bull, and Oakley, the path that he is traveling will put himself in a position to be a bigger cash cow than Tony Hawk, who was the original skater to help the sport break into the mainstream. It looks like everything Ryan Sheckler touches turns to gold so there for he will be coined the Golden Boy of skateboarding with his nice San Clemente image that has his future looking very bright at 20 years old you have to figure his best skating is still ahead of him if he does not burn out. But from winning the most medals at the X Games which is the Olympics of skateboarding to sponsors, movies, commercials, and winning tournaments it doesn’t look like he is going down anytime soon. Mr Dontknow would like recognize one common factor in some of these young stars like James “Bubba Stewart, Elena Myers, and Ryan Sheckler, and that is the support that all of there parents showed and gave to their kids in order to put them in a position to succeed. Not forcing them to do something but being supportive when they do choose to engage in an activity. Right now Ryan Sheckler is worth over 20 million.  Today’s post will be for all motorcyle enthusist who enjoy riding and watching racing. For those who dont know who Elena Myers is, they will be hearing a lot about her in the near future, she is the first female to be invited to the RED BULL RACE.  Elena Myers started racing at age eight progressing from mini bikes to pocket bikes, with help from her folks Anita and Matt. By Age 11 Elena raced a 125cc GP bike for the first time and won the race.  In 2006 Elena Myers raced the USGPRU National Series on the 125 with sponsorship from roaldracing world, during this time she caught the eye of marketing managers from Kawasaki and was offered a support program, and an opportunity to participate in PR activities for the company.  In 2007 with support from racing world she had several podium finishes in the 125 GP series, 2008 season consisted of more success for the female phenom with a win at WERA Nationals. In 2009 Elena Myers will be racing the Kawasaki ZX-6R in the AFM, WERA West National events.  Mr Dontknow has to give this young girl a LOT of PROPS for her dedication and excitement she brings to the sport of racing, especially only being 15 in the tenth grade and having more accomplishments than some people have in a lifetime.  One of the original members of the legendary group “GETO BOYS” Willie D was apprehended by federal authorities on conspiracy of conducting an overseas iphone scam. Willie D born(William James Dennis) was arrested at Bush international for acting as a salesman in concert with a business called Texas One Wireless, he is accused of using ebay to sell electronics and services to consumers overseas. Money was being transferred to his account but customers would never receive their products, Willie D would tell the customers the package was in the mail and eventually lose contact with  them, after that the FEDS jumped on his line, he is facing 20 years.  Mr Dontknow last heard Willie D had property in a another country, and  was waiting for the equity to bubble, I guess this recession is effecting everybody. Mr Dontknow is never amazed when a great player makes great plays, and that is exactly what happened in game 2 when Lebron James hit a clutch shot with one second left in the fourth quater of the Eastern Conference Finals. It looked all but over when Iydu Turkalu hit a pull up jumper on an ISO play, and left one second on the clock.Eeveryone in the building had to know they where going to Lebron James, or maybe the Orlando Magic lead by Stan Van Gundy thought someone else would shoot the ball. By my estimation from watching Lebron James making TRICK shots from all over the gym the past week, he is the last person I would let take that shot. Never the less the Cleveland Cavaliers ran a simple inbound play to get King James the ball and he did the rest, by raising up over his defender and shooting the game winning shot to electrify the Cleveland fans. Oh Boy, should Stan Van Gundy have doubled Lebron James?? On to Orlando Magic! Respectfully Mr. Dontknow

Motocross racer James Stewart recently did an interview on ESPN”S E-60 show, where he stated that he did not realize he was black until his first year of pro racing.  Mr. Dontknow found this to be quite interesting being that he was participating in a sport dominated by white males.  His father claimed he sheltered his son, Bubba Stewart from a lot of the racial tension he faced during bringing his boy up in motocross.  I would think that would be more of a reason to educate your offspring on some of the harsh realities that exist in life.  There definitely should be some sense of cultural pride within one’s self.  Also,  knowing your history and what it means to you as a person is very important.  Just for the simple fact that without our ancestors and their sacrifices,  James Bubba Stewart would not have been able to race with the whites in motocross.  Mr. Dontknow says “learn your history because you don’t want to wait until your 21 to find out what race you are”.   James Bubba Stewart owes it to himself to acknowledge what race he is and what that his race has sacrificed for him to have the things he has,  along with his family.  Respectfully, Mr. Dontknow.
